| Biowaste2energy (BW2E) was created to address the challenges of: increasing waste streams with declining landfill space, and limited availability of clean energy. We have been focused from the outset on delivering commercial solutions that can impact these real world problems. We are a multidisciplinary team, leveraging engineers, scientists, and business people with diverse backgrounds across waste management, energy production, and life and physical sciences. The mix of talents and skills available allows us to focus on our core technology, secure in the knowledge that our solutions are reviewed from positions of knowledge. We are in the final stages of proof of principle and are actively engaging with several food industry leaders. We continue to seek industry partners looking for unique economic solutions to their biological waste challenges. History The company was founded in early 2008 on the brilliant base work of our partners at the Unit of Functional Bionanomaterials at the University of Birmingham, coupled to groundbreaking technology from EKB Technology (based on work at Oxford University). Initial funding was obtained from Modern Waste Ltd to move our technical wizardry toward a commercial footing. |
